When Leica and Gmund Fullservice join forces to develop a notebook, the result is no ordinary product. Gmund accompanied the entire process over the course of a year.

The development
The starting point was a comprehensive consultation phase. What made this project special was that the format and design were not digitally matched using a template, but rather using real samples. By constructing various mock-ups, Leica was able to test and evaluate every detail by hand. This made it clear which paper, which surface, and which finish were the most convincing.
Prints with sophisticated motifs were then produced on black paper. Various surfaces and printing techniques were tested. This ensures that customer brand requirements are met in terms of print language, design, and paper selection. Gmund sees itself not only as a supplier of first-class paper, but also as a partner that actively helps shape brand identity and product quality.
