Gmund Paper and the Italian fabric manufacturer Manteco® unite quality, design, sustainability and innovation. Guided by the Zero-Waste principle, they have created a paper collection that transforms residues from textile production into premium paper. The basis consists of cotton linters – a by-product of the textile industry – as well as short cotton fibres from spinning, which were previously discarded. Coloured in selected shades from the Manteco® fashion collection, the result is a stylish, sustainable paper made from 100% cotton. Fabric to Paper. The Compendium is much more than a simple collection of paper samples; it serves as a comprehensive guide to the printability of Gmund papers. It offers standardised printing examples in various techniques such as offset printing, hot foil stamping, relief embossing, screen printing and letterpress printing to demonstrate the potentials and limitations of the papers. Each Compendium presents sophisticated and comparable print motifs on various paper surfaces and in different colors.
